Have you ever been robbed?

i had someone go into my garage (unattached) and steal over $4,000 worth of tools-electronics and damage my antique Chevy truck...left the freezer open that they used for light- and ruined lots of seafood and meats and veggies...

i had been away to Texas for a week and returned to find all fine but left for a day trip that got to be an overnight trip...thats when they hit...now lots of you know i live in a super backwoods area...it's not like we worry about crime...
i feel like i've been ...i dunno...i'm sick- sure the things can be replaced-but they were in my domain...ahhh fark it...

just wanted to vent-

Dave, thats horrible....but I understand how you
feel...I live in an area that people dont lock
their doors....and we are slowly getting used to
locking house doors and lately our car doors...
if they cant get into your house, they steal what
they can out of your car...we have even had some
that stole things out of peoples yards...stupid
shit like statues, potted plants, signs....I just
dont get it....

now that i've had time to look at all the stuff gone i have to respect the fact that whomever took the edelbrock hi-rise 4 bbl(chrome, of course) did so in a respectful manner.

the total is now over 5k going thru the things i'm missing.

nothing on the '67 truck will be covered....grrrrrr

I was robbed at gunpoint when I managed a book/video store in the early 80's. they only got about $70. and when I turned around He punched me in the head with his fist, before running out.

I have had real bad luck with cars, I had two stolen in Chicago, one in Texas nd My favorite little pickup truck in Cali. only one was found and the darn police impound fee on it was nearly $300 [img]mad.gif[/img]
